ITINERARY 

Day 1 - Amsterdam (D)

Welcome to Amsterdam. You will be transferred from the airport to your Scenic Space-Ship, where you will be welcomed on board by your friendly crew. Your cruise begins here, and you’ll get to toast the occasion at this evening’s welcome reception.

Day 2 - Amsterdam (B,L,D)

Freechoice: Explore Amsterdam during a guided walking tour, or take the opportunity to experience an iconic canal cruise through the famous waterways of the city. Alternatively, step outside of Amsterdam and visit the villages of Alkmaar & Schermerhorn, home to many authentic windmills dating back to the 16th century.

Day 3 - Cologne (B,L,D)

Discover Cologne on a guided walking tour. Later, you may wish to make the most of your free time by strolling through the city’s myriad of Christmas markets. Be sure to look out for the largest Christmas tree in the Rhineland.

Day 4 - Rüdesheim (B,L,D)

Board the Winzerexpress mini-train for a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum.

Day 5 - Miltenberg > Wertheim (B,L,D)

Today discover the picture-perfect town of Miltenberg. Traverse the winding streets, see charming half-timbered houses and admire the town square as it comes to life with festive markets.

Day 6 - Würzburg (B,L,D)

Freechoice: Take a guided tour of Rothenburg with time to wander the famed Reiterlesmarkt. Alternatively, stay in Würzburg and tour this fabulously festive city.

Tonight, perhaps attend a traditional Christmas Mass.

Day 7 - Sailing day (B,L,D)

Merry Christmas! Celebrate with newfound friends on board your Scenic Space-Ship as you cruise towards Nuremberg.

Day 8 - Nuremberg (B,L,D)

Enjoy a walking tour of Regensburg, known as the best-preserved medieval city in Germany.

Freechoice: Enjoy a guided tour of the Baroque Old Town of Salzburg, or join a walking tour focused on sights from the classic movie ‘The Sound of Music’.

Day 11 - Melk > Dürnstein (B,L,D)

Freechoice: Be guided through Melk’s Benedictine Abbey, or cycle from Melk to Dürnstein. Alternatively, enjoy a Schnapps tasting. This distilled fruit brandy has been an Austrian favourite for centuries.

Day 12 - Vienna (B,L,D)

Freechoice: Tour magnificent Schönbrunn Palace, or discover the neighbouring city Bratislava. Alternatively, join a guided cycling tour towards Danube Island.

Be enthralled by a private classical evening concert at the enchanting Palais Liechtenstein.

Day 13 - Budapest (B,L,D)

Today you will enjoy a leisurely day of cruising the Danube River before arriving into Budapest where you will ring in the New Year in style. Stay on board your Scenic Space-Ship where your Cruise Director has a fun night planned, or venture into the city after dinner and celebrate with the locals at your leisure.

Day 14 - Budapest (B,L,D)

Freechoice: Tour this magical city with your local guide, or relax at the city’s Thermal Baths and Spa. Alternatively, brave the labyrinths of the Hospital in the Rock.

Day 15 - Budapest (B)

Depart today after breakfast, taking wonderful memories with you.
