Day 01: Arrive Budapest, Embark Ship
Welcome to Budapest, the historic Hungarian capital. Once you’ve arrived at the airport, we’ll whisk you away to your luxury river ship, docked on the Danube River. Later, there’s nothing like cruising through Budapest once the sun sets, as its monuments put on a twinkling show around you.    D

Day 02: Bratislava

You will be shown the best of Bratislava on a guided discovery. Then it’s time for your Signature Experience.   BLD

Head to the Old Town to take in a folklore show, where you can maybe try a few Slovak dance moves and sample some local delights.

Day 03: Vienna

Explore the streets of Vienna as you are guided through its esteemed history. Tonight, visit the City Palace for your Signature Experience.    BLD

After dinner, we have planned a special event exclusively for you. Head to the princely family of Liechtenstein’s City Palace in the heart of Vienna, where a cocktail party and private concert await, featuring members of the Mozart Boys’ Choir, as well as masterpieces by Mozart and Strauss.

Day 04: Budapest

As you explore Budapest, you’ll be entranced by its monuments, including a visit to the Hungarian Parliament. This fine example of neo-Gothic architecture is now over 100 years old and houses the old House of Lords and the Hungarian Crown Jewels.   BLD

Day 05: Mohács, Pecs

You have the choice as to how you spend your day. Back on board, savour dinner.   BLD

From Mohács, perhaps visit the Buso Courtyard to gain an insight into the Busojaras of Mohács, along with this event’s quirky craftworks. Or history buffs can venture to the ancient city of Pecs and wander the Gyugyi Museum, which houses László Gyugyi’s private collection of magnificent art nouveau pieces.

Day 06: Belgrade

In Serbia’s capital, choose your sightseeing.    BLD

Perhaps see the Belgrade Fortress and the Serbian Orthodox Temple of St Sava. If you’re feeling more physical, explore the city by bike, or if you fancy a tipple, visit a brandy distillery.

Day 07: Iron Gates
Cruise through the Iron Gates and experience one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders you will encounter on this cruise. Your ship will ribbon its way through the series of gorges between Serbia and Romania.   BLD

Day 08: Giurgiu, Bucharest
With an entire day in Bucharest, take in the wide tree-lined boulevards and Belle Epoque buildings, then walk through the Old City centre to the Royal Court, Stavropoleos Church and the Lipscani district. After lunch, the choice is yours.  BLD

Either visit the Palace of the Parliament, which is the second-largest administrative building in the world, or wander the open-air Village Museum and gain an insight into traditional Romanian life.

Day 09: Rousse, Veliko Târnovo, Svishtov
Enjoy a choice of sightseeing in Veliko Târnovo.     BLD

In Veliko Târnovo, a local expert will guide you through the city’s rich history. Alternatively, should you want to get a little more active, a walk through the rock monasteries is the ideal way to explore the World Heritage-listed Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo.

Day 10: Vidin, Belogradchik

Explore Baba Vida Fortress in Vidin. Raised upon the remains of the ancient town of Bononia, the medieval castle dates back to the 10th century. Afterwards, venture to Belogradchik to uncover its ancient fortress on the northern slope of the Balkan mountains. You’ll also see the town’s unique rock formations.   BLD

Day 11: Scenic Cruising

The day is yours to relax on board, sleep in and take it easy, or awake early and take in stunning views from the Sun Deck.    BLD

Day 12: Novi Sad, Ilok, Vukovar
Explore Novi Sad’s Petrovaradin Fortress and its catacombs, then select your sightseeing.   BLD

Wine lovers can head to a vineyard in Ilok, where a tasting allows you to appreciate the fertile soils that have been making wine since the 16th century. Otherwise in Vukovar, perhaps familiarise yourself with the poignant sites of the Yugoslavian Civil War.

Day 13: Kalocsa, Puszta

Enjoy your Signature Experience, then afterwards, a farm in Puszta is the perfect setting for a stellar horse show and authentic Hungarian lunch. BLD

Signature Experience
Uncover all things Hungarian today with a cultural cavalcade in Kalocsa, set right on the Danube. Local handicrafts and porcelain are on show at the Folk Art House, then visit a producer of one of Hungary’s spiciest exports, paprika.

Day 14: Budapest
Today unfolds as you please. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.    BLD

See the Fisherman’s Bastion and Heroes’ Square. Alternatively, the active may like to hike to Gellert Hill, or perhaps enjoy a more relaxed culinary walk through Budapest’s Great Market Hall.

Sadly today, your journey draws to a conclusion. Say your farewells, disembark your ship and be transferred to the airport.    B
