Day 1 - Cape Town 
Welcome to wonderful Cape Town. Enjoy an exclusive three night Special Stay, with spectacular views of the waterfront and Table Mountain. Tonight, meet your Tour Director for a welcome drink.

Day 2 - Cape Town 
Ascend Table Mountain by rotating gondola for wondrous 360 degree views.
Sample South Africa’s finest vintages on a winelands tour. Alternatively, visit history rich Robben Island, take a township tour, or a Harley Davidson ride.

Day 3 - Cape Town 
Journey along the Atlantic coastline to Cape Point, stop at the Cape of Good Hope, then visit Boulders Beach, home to an African penguin colony.

Day 4 - Cape Town > Oudtshoorn 
Stunning semi-desert scenery awaits en route to the town of Oudtshoorn. Later, discover a wonderland of underground chambers at the Cango Caves, among the largest in the world, before your overnight stay.

Day 5 - Oudtshoorn > Knysna 
Learn about Africa’s largest bird at a local ostrich farm, then head to Knysna on the Garden Route, famous for its oysters, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay. Enjoy a scenic lagoon cruise with expert commentary on the region’s flora and fauna.

Day 6 - Port Elizabeth > Durban 
Travel along the Garden Route to Storm’s River Mouth in the Tsitsikama Rainforest. Later, board your flight from Port Elizabeth to Durban. Enjoy a two night Special Stay hotel, the ultimate in colonial charm and style.

Day 7 - Durban 
Discover today the beach side town of Durban, famous for its Indian and colonial influences.
Learn about the Anglo-Boer war that took place close to Durban whilst sampling afternoon tea.

Day 8 - Hluhluwe > Ghost Mountain 
The Dolphin Coast region of Natal has a sea of sugarcane fields. Enter Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, world-renowned for its rhino conservation programme. Later, check into your elegant hotel for a two night stay at the foot of Zululand’s legendary Ghost Mountain.
This evening, you’ll be treated to a mesmerising display of traditional Zulu dancing, complete with dramatic local drumming.

Day 9 - Ghost Mountain 
Take a morning cruise on stunning Lake Jozini and view the wildlife at the water’s edge. It’ll be your first chance to see hippos in their native habitat.
Visit a traditional Zulu community in the Lebombo Mountains, and be welcomed by the village chief for a private tour.

Day 10 - Ghost Mountain > Swaziland 
Arrive in the tiny kingdom of Swaziland. You’ll journey through the magnificent valleys of Big Bend to your overnight stay in the Ezulwini Valley.

Day 11 - Swaziland > Kruger National Park 
Kruger National Park borders stretches an impressive 450 kilometres. You’ll enjoy a two night Special Stay at Lion Sands River Lodge, situated on a private concession within the park. The Sabie River flows through it and is home to the highest recorded concentration of leopards in Africa. Take a game drive in an open safari vehicle this afternoon and look out for the ‘Big Five’ before soaking in the ambience while dining at your lodge.

Day 12 - Lion Sands Game Reserve (Kruger National Park) 
Limitless game viewing possibilities await as you traverse the entire Kruger National Park in specially adapted Land Rovers to track the ‘Big Five’ – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
Encounter hippos by exploring the shores of the Sabie River on foot, with a game ranger, or enjoy a fascinating lecture on wildlife.

Day 13 - Panorama Route > Johannesburg 
Travel the magnificent Panorama Route on the way to Johannesburg. You’ll view the Blyde River Canyon, third deepest in the world, then visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes. Later, check into your stylish hotel for two nights.

Day 14 - Johannesburg 
Explore Soweto with your local guide and visit Nelson Mandela’s house. Learn about the 20th century South Africa at your visit to the Apartheid Museum.

Day 15 - Johannesburg > Victoria Falls 
This morning, board your flight to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The world’s largest sheet of falling water rises up to 108 metres high and spans a gorge carved out of a flat plateau. Check into the marvellously colonial hotel for your three night Special Stay. Tonight’s outdoor dinner features a mesmerising display of traditional dancing.
Be treated to a special Sundowners cruise down the Zambezi River and watch the teeming wildlife on the banks, drink in hand, just upstream from Victoria Falls.

Day 16 - Chobe National Park 
Today is photography heaven as large concentrations of big game call Chobe National Park home. Embark on a game drive along the shoreline, where predators often come to drink. Later, enjoy a cruise on the Chobe River, home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. Large pods of hippo and giraffe families inhabit the banks and surrounding woodlands.

Day 17 - Victoria Falls 
Visit a typical Zimbabwean village to gain unique insights into traditional tribal life and meet the elephants as part of your visit the elephant sanctuary.
Later, witness the power of Victoria Falls with a tour of the Zimbabwean side of the world’s largest waterfall. Enjoy dinner in the beautiful Livingstone Restaurant to complete your day.

Day 18 - Victoria Falls > Nairobi 
Helicopter flight - Enjoy an optional helicopter flight over Victoria Falls for magnificent views. Enquire for details – additional expense, please book on tour.
Later, fly to Nairobi and be transferred to your opulent hotel, situated on a private acreage, for your two night stay.

Day 19 - Nairobi 
Start your day with an encounter with a giraffe and learn about these endangered animals. Relive the romance of the movie Out of Africa during a visit to Karen Blixen’s home before travelling to Kiambethu Tea Farm. Wander through the tea fields and hear the stories of the first commercially grown tea in Kenya.
Choose between the local Carnivores restaurant, famous for a wide variety of meat choices that are all roasted on a traditional Maasai sword over a fire pit. Or enjoy dinner at the Mandhari restaurant located at the hotel.

Day 20 - Amboseli National Reserve 
Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world, commands the horizon as you approach Amboseli National Reserve. Massive herds of elephants migrate across dry plains, linking swamps with open pastures. On your game drives today and tomorrow, cheetahs and prides of lions can often be seen stalking the plains. Your lodge, your home for two nights, is situated beside a major elephant trail with views of the mountain.

Day 21 - Amboseli National Reserve 
Visit a traditional Maasai village and learn about this complex and proudly independent culture, and their close association with the wild animals.
Climb to the top of Observation Hill and gaze at the sunset views over Amboseli National Reserve, drink in hand.

Day 22 - Amboseli National Reserve > Nanyuki 
Journey north to Ol Petaja Conservancy. Tonight you’ll stay at Sweetwaters Tented Safari Camp, situated right next to a waterhole.

Day 23 - Nanyuki > Shaba National Reserve 
Visit a sanctuary for endangered chimpanzees, then take in magical views of Mount Kenya as you continue north to the Samburu ecosystem in central Kenya. You’ll get to enjoy a two night stay at your lodge, which straddles the river that waters the adjacent reserves.

Day 24 - Samburu & Buffalo Springs Reserves 
Today, marvel at the diverse range of wildlife, including the Reticulated giraffe, the tree climbing gerenuk, Grant’s gazelle and the rare Grevy’s zebra, along with a multitude of other big game.

Day 25 - Mount Kenya 
Arrive at  your wonderful Special Stay hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing at your charming property.

Day 26 - Lake Nakuru National Park 
The shallow alkaline lake near the town of Nakuru is home to flamingos, pelicans and other birds. Enjoy a two night stay at your lodge, overlooking the lake. Take game drives in search for black and white rhino, giraffe and many other species.

Day 27 - Lake Nakuru 
Visit the Lake Nakuru Baby Orphanage Centre, established by an Australian family and enjoy lunch with the children.

Day 28 - Masai Mara Reserve 
The Masai Mara is home to 95 species of animals and over 400 species of birds. The annual Great Migration from July to September attracts over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra and impala, a phenomenon that has to be seen to be appreciated. Spend three nights at your camp inside the reserve.

Day 29 - Masai Mara Reserve 
Game drives through the Masai Mara encompass all types of animals, from lion, cheetah and leopard, to vast herds of antelope and zebra. During migration season your game rangers will give you the chance to see the crossings at the Mara River, renowned for its crocodiles.

Day 30 - Masai Mara Reserve 
Hot air balloon flight - Experience the savannah at dawn from a hot air balloon. Enquire for details – additional expense, please book on tour.
Walk the savannah with your Maasai guide or take a cooking class.

Day 31 - Masai Mara > Johannesburg 
Enjoy an exclusive farewell bush breakfast on the open plains of the Masai Mara.
Board your light aircraft for a scenic flight over the reserve to Nairobi, then fly to Johannesburg for your final night.

Day 32 - Johannesburg 
Transfer to Johannesburg Airport, with a suitcase full of unforgettable memories.
